Fans who are survivors!

I got the most wonderful message on Instagram from A fan called Sarah to let me know that she had got a special tattoo and it was of my lyrics. As a songwriter it’s so humbling when fans like my music but when fans who are also survivors of trauma connect with my story, it is very special for me. This is why I write, to give hope and inspire so when fans get tattoos of my lyrics it means I am with them forever.
Of course tattooing is not for everyone but some of us cover our scars with this art to remind ourselves that you can turn things into a positive.
Thank you Sarah for letting me share your art with the world just as I share mine. We now thrive in the world so let us show others that we are worth fighting for, worth saving but most of all that we have learned to love ourselves enough to celebrate being alive and own our stories. We are survivors, we have overcome and we can now shine our light for all to see 😍
